Narrow-minded, life confined
to the signs of the times
we grind, we rhyme
we dream, we scream
for change in the brain
of the young and younger
our undeniable hunger
to never falter and alter
the minds of our generation and generate
thoughts of thought
metacognition is our mission
we will come through stereos and mics
to break common stereotypes
we will initiate fights for rights
the ladder in which we climb to new heights
plant the seeds today for future trees
we will change the optical from which the future sees
bringing about a new day from the pain and sorrow
