Cole World: The Sideline Story Officially released today!!!
Bigger names in hip-hop have released albums this year, but few trump this debut. Cole, who's been studying under label head Jay-Z for two years, seems to have learned plenty. Cole World: The Sideline Story is a well-rounded effort, and deeper than most, offering cuts that tackle unplanned pregnancy (''Lost Ones'') and uncertain love (''Nobody's Perfect''). ''It's your time,'' Jay skillfully says to him on the gaudy, dubstep-tinged ''Mr. Nice Watch.'' Cole's making the best of it.

In the city
Marked by the murder capital
Screams pierce my dreams,
And with blood strained side walks
Where insanity consumes the minds of the popularity
Pity?
None is learned, so none is given...
With souls down so low
None have hope in the
Book of "Life Written"
So lives are slain
To gain,
Advancement in the
Social 'pecking order'
"Money, Power, Respect"

marked by the blood money
Young men stolen..
Then transformed and reconfigured
To be brain washed soldiers,
Gorilla warfare for
Leaders in pursuit,
Of oddly shaped rocks..
A heavy stock across seas,
So they hunt, pillage and rape...
Women and young children,
Is nothing safe?....

White faces control all
Because, white faces mark
The currency
Racism is taught
And learned by the majority...
Jewelry, Cars, Mansions and designer clothing
Are put in place
To tease the minority
